Sprung, Christoph S.

geb. 1975, ist Politikwissenschaftler und arbeitet bei einer internationalen Organisation in Genf zu Südasien. Seit 1998 beschäftigt er sich schwerpunktmäßig mit indischer und in Folge auch mit pakistanischer Politik, sowie den politischen Ereignissen in Nepal und Bangladesch. Er ist Gründungs- und Vorstandsmitglied des Südasien-Informationsnetz e.V..

Sein besonderes Interesse gilt den Themen Islam, (Hindu-)Nationalismus, Binnenkonflikte und Außenpolitik. Mehrere Reisen durch Indien und Pakistan, sowie nach Nepal und Bangladesch. Auf seinen Reisen schreibt und fotografiert er.

Christoph S. Sprung is a Political Scientist by training and a founding member of the association "Südasien-Informationsnetz e.V.". During his studies at the Berlin Free University (Freie Universität) his research focused on Indian and Pakistani political affairs. His main interests are Islam, communalism, social issues and the foreign policy of South Asian countries.

He has traveled extensively throughout South Asia including Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan affording him a broader practical understanding of current societal discourses. In addition to research projects across India, he has worked as a teacher in the state of Jharkhand.

Christoph has published different articles and analyses in online journals and in papers and books.
