We are delighted to announce that the 20th European Conference on Modern South Asian Studies will be held in Manchester, 8-11 July 2008. We are now actively considering suggestions for panels to be convened at the Conference.

If you are interested in convening a panel, please visit the Conference website at http://www.arts.manchester.ac.uk/ecmsas/ .
Follow the link for panel suggestions, and register your interest by filling in the on-line form.

Panel suggestions should be made as soon as possible, and in any event not later than 30 June 2007. The Conference Academic Committee will be making decisions about the programme of panels in July 2007. If you have made a suggestion for a panel, you will be informed as to whether it has been accepted on or before 3 August 2007.

Please note that it is the responsibility of panel convenors to organise the content of their panel, including organising presenters andcollating presentation titles and abstracts once the panel has been formally accepted.

We would be grateful if you could publicise the call for panel
suggestions by displaying the attached flyer appropriately in your institution.
