The German Embassy has two vacancies in the Press Department/ German Information Center India (GIC) as of 15th December 2007.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Daily editing of texts and pictures for Website of German Information Center India

CANDIDATE PROFILE:
The successful candidates must:
- have completed university studies (at least bachelor’s degree) or professional training in the field of journalism;
- have substantial working experience in the field of journalism
- have excellent capabilities in the field of text and photo editing
- have technical and editorial skills in the field of Internet media
- have good knowledge of office communication
- have a very good command of English (candidates with workable knowledge of German are given preference)
- be able to work independently without detailed instructions (e.g. research)
- take initiatives
- have good interpersonal skills, especially the ability to work in a team
- be organised, flexible, adaptable, reliable and efficient.

Applications with CV, 1 latest photograph, 2 reference letters and a brief letter explaining eligibility for the position, should be forwarded to the Deputy Head of Administration, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, 6/50 G, Shanti Path, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi-110021 by 30th November 2007.
Envelopes should be marked "Application for Editor GIC India".
